Passwords Standards are Changing

News from CNN says that 8 character passwords are no longer safe from sophisticated hackers.  Georgia Institute of Technology found that the new "hacker" safe passwords should contain 12 characters.  Using sophisticated techniques, the Institute found that passwords with 8 characters could be cracked in two hours. They noted that 12 character passwords would take at least 17,134 years to crack and should be the security standard for all computer users.
